It is my pleasure to take you to where few people visit or even know about, places not overwhelmed with the
buzz of tourism of Ojai, I hope that I may make you feel at home with the ancient ones who still occupy this
land in spirit. I have been working as a soul retrieval guide for over 30 years and tour guide
for 11 years in this sacred canyon. I hope that I maybe of service to you in some way, whether through a
shamanic session or soul journey.
Come on to this land in silence
and reverence for a retreat, a song, a chant, a drum beat, a soulful hiking tour.
If the
soul is awakened, how does it awake, and who awakens it? We see that the time for nature to awake is the
spring. It is asleep all winter and it awakes in the spring. There is a time for the sea, when the wind blows
and brings good tidings, as if it awakes from sleep; then the waves rise. All this shows struggle, it shows
that something has touched it and makes it uneasy, restless; it makes it want liberation, release. Every atom,
every object, every condition and every living being has a time of awakening. Come awake in nature. Jay
The Native Americans that still live in this valley are present and all one needs do is close
their eyes, quiet their minds, and listen. This is sacred land of many species of plants, high rugged mountains
and clear spring water pools, and hot springs, The Chumash have a wonderful myth about how these special spots
on the earth heal us and how they came about. They ventured onto the mesas, chanted near the clear waters and
many went into deep meditation and searched with his/her mind throughout the universe for the heart beat of the
Great Spirit. And when they found it, they began to beat their drums, drawing that which
gives movement to all things (The Womb of The Earth Mother) draw near to the heart of the earth where it began
to beat. And that heartbeat then pulsed out to the surface of the earth connecting with the sun giving birth to
life. And those places on the surface of the earth where the drum beat is the strongest, a power spot, a sacred
place, a vortex, calls out to those who will listen. Calls out like the voice of home, come
awaken in me. . .
Even if you just accidentally vacation here in Ojai it will work its magic
on you. There are magical places for ones soul that so few know of in Ojai Valley.
